Grand Vau - 2020

Anjou Blanc

Vintage year

Beneath a surface texture composed of clayey-sandy silt, the terroir is distinguished by its geological mix: green sandstone schist, sometimes with purple passages, often with banks of phtanites at the top of the plot and volcanic rhyolite at the bottom.

Tasting notes

The spirit of this new cuvée is to share the geological originality of the Grand Vau parcel.
It is a long work that allows to obtain a more precise definition of the terroir.
The aromatic complexity is less on the fruit than the 2019 vintage. On the palate, the wood melts with the gourmet structure of the wine to give way to a mineral finish. A true terroir wine.

Our favorite pairings: with white meats creamed with mushrooms, with a white pudding or with andouillettes.
Serve at 10°C. to enjoy between 12 and 14°C.
Cellaring: 8 years and more.

Level of sweetness is Dry
